love and sex

Its amazing how people seem to want to turn up to things with crude titles - my Donne lecture today was titled 'Love and Sex', and admittedly, the lecturer is very interesting and talks slowly (quite unusual) so I can actually write notes. But her lecture was packed... And I think I know why.

My face in thine eye, thine in mine appears,
And true plaine hearts do in their faces rest,
Where can we finde two better hemispheares
Without sharpe North, without declining West?
John Donne - 'The Good Morrow'

These words interested me during the lecture. Donne talks about how love is circumstancial and cannot be universal - basically for everyone it is different. Which is exactly the conversation I had with my friend last night. It seems that Donne and I are on the same page.

Last night I basically had a little jam in my room - had about 7 people in my room (2 more people and I'd have had to have tutorial permission). It was really fun and a strange selection of my friends. Loud music, laughs, ended up all cotching in my bed.

Spot the odd one out.
Love x
