honey and home

Going home always means stealing my mother's clothes. This heavy-knit jumper is one of my favourites. Mum always used to wear it when I was little with leggings, but, because I'm a little bit shorter than her, I can wear it as a dress with tights. Because of the lack of height, it looked better with heels.

I had to wear my pearly-collar necklace with it, just for fun and to make it a bit more 'cutesy', even though this completely contradicts my 'growing-up' post yesterday.

It has a really cute pattern and the scalloped edges on the sleeves and the bottom are really soft and cute. I like cute things. And this jumper is vintage dahlin', so of course - I love all vintage stuff.

You'll know by now that most of my clothes are either my mum's, my dad's, or inspired by my mother's old style. I've noticed that even the things that I buy from topshop or places with very 'new' 'on-trends', I buy the classic stuff my mother still owns or at least used to own. I like this; I think a lot of trends will fade and won't come back - if they've come back before, they'll probably come back again, so Vintage stuff are for keeps. <3 p="p">

  1. Hi Sarah, thanks for visiting my blog :)
I love this jumper, it's great when you can steal old pieces from family members and give them a new lease of life. It looks lovely with the pearl collar.
